Cue the Rain

Weather Headlines across the nation involve snow in the Rockies and severe weather in the Central Plains, but we sit in a region of decreasing stability to setup the next few days. As I stated in the previous blog, rain is likely for Wednesday and Thursday. I expect scattered showers to run through the Pine Belt Tuesday night, and then Wednesday morning will deliver a shot of moderate to heavy rainfall. Then Wednesday night through Thursday we could see the system "sit down" in Mississippi and allow a continued chance of rain. Areas in Mississippi could receive more than 3" through Friday, but even more rain can be expected through Saturday as another low pressure system pushes through South Mississippi. Rain Rain Rain...yes that's the key word for our week outlook. -tcade@wdam.com
