Dangerous Heat This Weekend !!!

A large and very hot high pressure system is building into the deep south and will create dangerously high temps for the weekend ! Highs are forecast to reach the low 100's and lows in the upper 70s. Rain chances are slim and any showers that do form will only provide a little relief from the heat. Please remember to check on folks that may not have ways to stay cooler and remember to drink plenty of fluids and avoid the outdoors especially during the afternoon hours. The tropics are still slowly trying to come alive and we will continue to monitor a few tropical waves in the Atlantic and the Caribbean for any signs of intensification.
