Winter weather event ending...but...

Our current winter weather event is coming to a close and we expect all warnings to be lifted by 9:00 am. The weather for today will pretty much be a cold rain with highs around 40. Cloudy tonight with lows in the upper 20s. Mostly sunny on Saturday with highs in the upper 40s and lows that night in the upper 20s. Super Bowl Sunday looks great with sunny skies and highs around 60 and lows that night in the upper 30s. Slight chance for a shower on Monday with highs in the lower 50s and lows back into the upper 20s. Sunny on Tuesday with highs in the upper 50s and lows near 40. Now to the interesting part. Weather models are hinting at the possibility of a major snow storm to strike the gulf coastal region beginning next Wednesday night into Thursday followed by what could be the coldest weather that we have seen so far this winter !!! PLEASE keep in mind that this forecast is about a week away and much could change but keep the idea in the back of your minds. It has been one crazy winter for the United States, so nothing would suprise me at this point ! Have a great weekend !! Rex
