Drier weather to return to the Pine Belt for the next few days.

High pressure is forecast to rebuild over the deep south for the next few days and that will lead to a couple of rain free but hot days and warm and muggy nights. As we head into the latter part of the week into the weekend we will see some increase in our chances for afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms but highs will remain in the 90s and lows in the 70s.

Tropical Storm Bret continues to move away from the U.S. mainland and poses no threat to Mississippi.
