Tuesday Weather Update.
Our weather will remain dry and hot today and Wednesday but changes are beginning to show up in future forecasts. This morning the weather computer models are indicating that a tropical wave in the western Caribbean will move into the Gulf of Mexico and possibly develop into a tropical storm. Most of the models indicate the system will move towards Texas and that would be great news for them as they are in a severe drought. The system would also pump moisture from the gulf into our area which would increase our rain chances and lower or temps for the upcoming weekend.
We will continue to monitor the system and keep you posted.

Monday weather update.
Our week will start off hot and dry. Highs today though Tuesday will be in the upper 90s. On Wednesday, our highs will be in the mid 90s. The weather pattern will begin to change on Thursday with a chance for a shower or thunderstorm. The Friday though Sunday period looks cloudy with a chance for showers and thunderstorms and that will help keep our highs down to the 90 degree range.
The tropics remain very active with tropical depression number twelve having formed this morning. The system will likely become Tropical Storm Katia today. Katia will likely become a strong hurricane in the Atlantic this week and will possibly pose a threat to the U.S. in 7-10 days.

Our very hot weather pattern is expected to persist into the the weekend with highs each day in the 90s. There is a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm today and Thursday but otherwise the forecast looks quite dry.
The tropics remain very active with Irene expected to become a cat 3 hurricane today but the storm poses no threat to the Gulf.
