While hot and dry weather will dominate much of the southeast, we could see some relief in the way of afternoon storms. Rain chances will increase as we work towards the weekend. The heat culprit is a dome of high pressure that will sit to our north. We will be on the edge of that dome, which should keep conditions here fairly seasonable
Tropical Storm Bret continues to move away from the U.S. mainland and poses no threat.
