Uncertain forecast for the weekend !

A strong low pressure area is forecast to cross the northern gulf on Sunday and Sunday night. At this time it appears the best chance for frozen precip will be over our northern counties and further northward. There are many things that could easily change this forecast. If the low tracks further south in the gulf and colder air gets into place, then the entire viewing area could end up seeing a significant winter weather event. At the least a cold rain is forecast for Sunday and Sunday night but this could easily transition into a winter storm in the form of freezing rain, sleet or snow-or a mixture of all of it.
